Joel & Felicity - My World.xo

Me, My Children & My Blog.

My name is Jharmain Mortimer (my friends call me Jharr) & I have suffered with depression since I was 19 years old. I have had some hard times, but I have also had a lot of good times, & I am also blessed with a full time, energetic, six year old little boy, Joel, & our very cheeky but adorable 2 year old little girl, Felicity.

The hard times have taught me so much & have helped me to become the wife & mummy that I am today. I still have a lot of bad days, but I also have a lot of good days! It is the amazing support from family, friends & my Facebook Page & waking up to my two beautiful children everyday that makes me want to fight & become a stronger person.

Originally I set my blog up just so that I had my own little bit of personal space for me to vent, rant & get my feelings out, but then since setting up my Facebook Page & so many people telling me how my blog has helped them, that has then spurred me on to make something of my blog & to help others, to spread as much awareness as I can for the mental illness that is depression & anxiety.

The majority of my posts are of me talking about my life in general, the joys of being a mummy of two, a housewife & living with the ups & downs of depression & anxiety. I would like to think that maybe other people reading my blog that suffer the same as me or similar conditions find piece of mine & no longer feel alone, because none of us are alone & hopefully reading my blog, will help them in some way, because my blog really is my way of coping & anyone who chooses to name call & label anyone for having a blog are only labeling themselves.

#AlwaysRemember: Depression & Anxiety isn't weakness, nor is it anything to be ashamed of. Depression is a sign of strength. because it means no matter how weal your mind might be to you, your heart is still strong enough to feel. so hold your head up high & always be proud of the person that you are!
