Diary entry #7 Visiting Family & Friends.

Dear Diary...

I am really sorry that I haven't been around on my blog for a few days, I have been down in Cumbria seeing my family & a few friends, - those that matter most! :)

Arriving in Barrow in Furness:

I traveled down on Wednesday morning & arrived in Barrow in Furness Wednesday afternoon after a long pain in the arse 4 & half hour journey! (my direct train got cancel so I ended up having to do abit of a detour so the journey took an hour & half longer than it should of!) on arrival at my sister's house via taxi which is were I was staying, she was stood on her doorstep bouncing up & down with excitement as we hadn't seen each other since before Christmas. I got out of the taxi, we threw my stuff in the house & then walked up to my mums, which was literally up the street ;) after spending an hour & half with my sister, brother in law & mum, me & my sister went up town to meet my best mate, who I actually see more like a brother, he was coming down from Kendal for the evening for a few drinks :) & yes later that evening I got rather "merry" so Thursday morning I was just a touch hungover. :p

Kendal Antics:
-

On Thursday morning once I had managed to drag my sore head off the pillow & get out of bed & get dressed, me & my bud headed into town for the bus into Kendal (grabbing a mcds breakfast on our way) I was going to Kendal to meet my friend Steph for the first time & was travelling with my brother from another mother as he was going back to Kendal anywho!.. was I nervous about meeting Steph? Nahh, we have been talking on Facebook for a good while & it was actually my idea for us to meet, plus, I hadn't been to Kendal since I was 17!! :o on arrival Steph was waiting for me a the bus station, we greeted (with huge hugs) & then set off for our adventure! we looked around a few shops & then headed for Lunch (I was starved) Lunch was AMAZING! best pub grub I have eaten in a fair while! I felt so comfortable around Steph, we talked & talked & it didnt even feel the slightest bit awkward, we both talked about ourselves, our boys & our families :) afterwards we set off for another look around town before I had to catch the bus back & this is when the giggles really kicked in, we decided to have a peep in TK MAX & ended up taking loads of photo's of us messing around with hats, glasses & even in a lift! (ha ha) we then went onto a few more shops & my HIGHLIGHT of the day has got to be when Steph was looking at some animal deodorant for furniture & she picked up what was actually dog & cat repellent & if I hadn't of pointed it out I think she may have actually bought it & sprayed it round her house assuming it was deodorant HAHAHA! :') at around half4 I caught my bus back to Barrow & we said our goodbyes!

All in all I think I can truly say I have made a best friend for life. I have had so much heartache when it comes to friends in the past two years & things just seem so much different with Steph, for starters she's mature & alot more on my level of thinking, infact were pretty much dead alike :) I can open up & tell her anything, conversations just flow & there is no "awkward silences" between us, infact I dont think there was any silence PERIOD! :p

I truly cannot wait until I visit my hometown again so that I can arrange another visit to go & see her, & hopefully next time our boys can meet each other, which should be nice for them too! ROLL ON I say :)
